1. What is Kitria?
Kitria is an online company that provides various products and services targeted to small and medium-sized businesses. Our mission is to help start and/or grow businesses, especially online but also offline.
2. What products and services does Kitria provide?
Kitria provides many different products and services designed to assist and grow businesses (as well as individuals). Our main services to new customers are usually web design, graphic design, marketing, and/or some form of managing paperwork.
Our services include: web design, graphic design (brochures, business cards, calendars, envelopes, flyers, letterhead, logos, presentations, posters, resumes, stationery, etc.), search engine optimization (SEO), online marketing, offline marketing (including various things such as preparing bulk printings of flyers to be distibuted via a direct mail campaign, banners and signage, etc.), social media setups and management, enhanced word processing and document formatting, presentation preparation, desktop publishing, web host migrations and setups, backups and technical support, encryption software training, database creation and management, and many other custom services (typically internet based).
3. How do you pronounce “Kitria”?
Kitria is pronounced like Kit - Tree - Ah.
4. What are your prices?
Every project is different and requires varying amounts of time to complete. For that reason we generally get the necessary information on your project requirements and then give you a quote. Our prices are usually very reasonable and we try to give as much value as possible. As an example, our business cards start at $25.
5. What kind of websites do you offer?
We can do pretty much any type of website. From basic static 5-page websites to large e-commerce web applications and specialty sites.
We do websites for all purposes as well, small to large businesses, personal websites like “resume” websites, wedding websites, non-profits, and pretty much any other type of website including web applications that may consist of games or advanced programming. However, we do reserve the right to decline projects, for example, if they are of a graphic nature.
6. What is the timeframe for getting a website and/or other services done?
Work usually begins within 1-2 business days after receiving enough project information. The completion time really depends on the size of the project and the elements necessary to complete it. In some cases we can have websites fully finished within 1 business day and other times it can take a few weeks. We will let you know based on your specific requirements.
7. What is the next step if I want to use your services?
The first step is to basically just Contact Us and let us know what you would like to have done. If we need more information we will ask you. Then we let you know what we feel we can do for you and how we intend to go about it and you can decide from there whether or not to proceed.
8. What is the best way to contact you?
9. I’m a startup business, can you still help me?
Yes, absolutely. We can not handle legal aspects of your business such as incorporating or registering, but we can help you establish your business elements such as logo, signage, business cards, etc. If your business is online based we can design a website or web application that can ideally match your vision. Afterwards, if you want to grow or expand your business, we can help you in marketing your business online and/or offline. Additionally, we can also help you manage a lot of the day-to-day tasks of running your business with some of our virtual assistant services.
10. I’m not exactly sure what services I need, what do you suggest?
This can be a tough question that the majority of growing businesses must ask. At some point, either growth, management, or other problems inevitably arise, and it can often be confusing as to what the next step should be. In such cases, it is best to break things down to the basics such as ensuring that you are reaching enough of your ideal clients and ensuring that you are making it very easy for customers to do business with you.
In almost all cases, you can feel free to let us know what your situation is and we will either let you know how we can help or at least give potential advice on what other options you may have.
11. All I have is a business idea, can you help?
Yes, and often our favorite projects to work on are exactly these ones. We can offer all of the things mentioned in the answer to Question 9 above.
12. How do I pay? What payment methods do you offer?
Typically, after you are satisfied with our work, we will send an invoice to your email which contains a secure link where you may pay with PayPal, debit cards, and all major credit cards. We accept additional payment methods but the first scenario works for the majority of our clients.
13. How often should I update my website?
This is a great question and is one that gets talked about and asked very often online. Unfortunately, there is no one specific answer. It really depends on what type of industry you are in and/or what the goals of your website are.
For example, if you own a restaurant and do almost all of your marketing offline, and website visitors really only come to your website to check out your menu, you probably won’t need to update your website often. You could even potentially go years without updates in this case.
If you own a clothing store and customers check your website about once every two weeks, it would probably be good advice then to perhaps add a new special promotion onto your website every other week or monthly.
If you own a blog and get the majority of your revenue from a few quality advertisements, because you want constant website traffic, it is often advisable to update almost daily in this case. It really depends and a good rule of thumb is to ask yourself how often customers are likely to check your website for updates.
As a quick additional point, it’s also important to think of how often you will be able to get the website updated. People tend to get used to your update schedule and once you decide it you should stick with it. It’s best to not over-commit at the beginning or you can easily become overwhelmed. If you hire others to do updates on your behalf, budget can also be a consideration in how often updates can occur.
14. Does Kitria do website updates for me so that I don’t have to?
Yes, absolutely. However, it depends on what type of updates and how often. If every now and then you want a new section or series of pages added to your site, and maybe some adjustments, usually that’s absoutely no problem and we will do so for a nominal fee. If you own a large store that sells shoes and need new inventory added many times daily including pictures, descriptions, prices, etc, we can do this for you in limited circumstances but it would require our assessment of the project on a case by case basis.
15. Should I get a new website or just update my existing one?
Again, this is a very common question and one with no right answer. It really depends on your existing website and what the goals you have for it are. Generally, if you only want a few things modified, keeping the existing website is fine.
If many things need changed or you just generally want a new “look and feel” a new website is probably more recommended. Also, one main drawback with getting an existing website updated, is that some websites weren’t really designed for a lot of additions and changes, so putting a lot of modifications into such a site could require a lot of re-writing existing code.
